my question is: is there a battery replacement for this phone? I understand that the cover is not removeable easily but would like to know when battery life gets low - what happens then?
The cover actually is removable very easily as is the battery. The problem is total lack of support by UMI. They promised to make batteries and spare parts available months ago but there aren't any.

It seems that support from umi is certainly lacking like you say, you're not the first person I've heard complaining about umi lack of support. it looks to me increasingly that umi phones are disposable in nature and design. It would be interesting to know how long the standard battery life is, having read your half yearly report (which I find very informative), you may be in the best position to advise us if battery is still holding charge near to when it was new.
Hey. If properly charge the battery and do not expose to extreme temperatures, your battery will last long enough. In my experience - two years for phones that charge once a day.
Hi Tomas, I turned my UMI Iron Pro phone off overnight to save battery and now it will not start again. Last night it had 80% charge. I have had it plugged into the charger now for over two hours but it still will not switch on. How long to I have to hold power button down to switch on? I have held it for 10 seconds and nothing happens.
I am not very happy, I think I will give this phone a very bad review unless this problem is sorted out.
