I really hope you are able to help. I received my S2 Pro a few days ago and I'm having real problems with the phone.
THe S2 Pro appears to close all background applications and services when not in use and this includes things like ALARMS and notifications from applications like Yahoo or Gmail.
I have checked every setting I can find and I've even installed other alarm clock applications from the play store but the phone just kills them all unless the phone is being used..
This is a big problem/fault. I need a way to stop the phone killing all my background applications. I never get notifications or alarms unless I'm actually using the phone it's like it phone sleeps through everything. This makes the phone almost unusable. It would be great to hear if you have any advice.
Also the main Camera cannot focus on anything, all sceanary shots lack detail and are very blury, close up shots work OK with a little noise but overall the camera is terrible.
So it looks like it's not ROM version related. I'm on the latest unofficial ROM, 20171227, and Clock goes to sleep here too. Iv'e turned Clock on now in DuraSpeed and it shall be interesting to hear if it turns on tomorrow. The other day I had an extra good night sleep
What is DuraSpeed actually doing? It can be turned off, disabled, so I'm thinking about doing just that.

I was told that latest update was released to fix alarm bugs also to improve pictures quality . Please update to latest version.

Alarm still should working if is removed from backgrounds (this is confirmed)
Alarm also should working if phone is switched off (but I didn't confirm this yet)
Please check does loudspeaker working correctly and make sure that the headset icon is not in top bar.

I just got my S2 Pro 2 days ago. Having same problem as the 1st thread here. Alarm clock just would not come on.... It came with v 1.0 20171207 rom... Please help.....

its a huge frustration i was nearly late for work that day!!!!!
side note, my facebook messenger wont display messages immediately it receives, instead it waits randomly until you screen on your phone or something
i dont know the rule behind, but it just doesnt work as you expect

About notification you need check settings of each app and if you have set any screen lock you need change settings to display notifications on locked screen.
We testing your issues with alarm on our testing devices.
Hi MarcinP, Please can you confirm which firmware I should be running? The only one newer than the version I am on says (Unofficial) and (Basic) and is dated the 27-12? Would this then void my warranty? would it still receive updates?

We are not sure will Basic ROM receive OTA updates but we suspecting if received OTA update will comeback to official ROM itself.
Unfortunately you need to be careful with unofficial BASIC ROM. ROM itself will not void warranty because you can always comeback to OFFICIAL ROM. Only we need inform users that if they brick their devices with SPFT then they can't request for warranty. If you know how too use SPFT then you should be fine.
Basic ROM is tested by us too.
