Some apps are not compatible

Hi,

I've got the UMI IRON for 2 weeks, and I'm very pleased with the phone
But....
Cannot install some apps that I'm used to

1. Pango+
2. Gett (Get taxi)

I have the IRON V1.5, is there any other rom that I can install that will fix this?

Hi,

Install the v1.7 ROM with Rootjoy.
If you still have the compatibility issue, install GAPPS (ARM64, Android 5.1, any variants you want) from recovery.

Is there any guide how to install the gapps?
Will the installation wipe everything on my device?

\n\nLoad the apk app from any site not from the play store of course. Do not install it but move it to the folder system / app of your Iron. Use a file manager type Es file explorer downloaded from playstore. Activate root explorer menu es file explorer (see figure).



Now go to the folder where you moved the app before, (system / app), and hold on any app to be selected, then the top right, click on the menu with the 3 dots and select properties (see the figure).



Done this click on Edit in the permits and leave ticked only the first three boxes in the first reading and in writing (see figure)



OK now restart. The app will be installed. Go and look in the menu of the app and start it. Done. It is easier to do than to explain. Place a few pictures. Hello to all.

1. Copy the downloaded GAPPS file to the memory of your phone.
2. Turn off your phone, press and keep pressed the volume-up button and press the power button to boot into recovery.
3. Select Install Update and brows for the GAPPS package file. Select it, touch the Yes button and wait for the installation finish.
4. Click on Install Success, then Reboot.

I don't recommend to copy google apps directly to the system/app folder. That's not a professional solution but can carry a lot of (compatibility, permission etc.) issues.
