LTE support Emax mini

Hi there, i received my emax mini yesterday and i have problem with LTE connectivity. 1sim slot is often self switching to only 2G and the second sim slot is just showing GSM only.Has emax mini LTE support for both sim slots? Thanks for  answer Max

Hi Max,

The phone is dual-SIM but with only one modem (as well as other dual-SIM smartphones), so you can't use both SIM cards for data connection at the same time. You can use only the SIM1 card, or you can choose one of the two cards for 3G/4G data connection. If you open the SIM management in Settings menu, you'll see that, you can choose SIM1 or SIM2 or nothing for mobile data, but choosing both SIMs together is not possible. Other dual-SIM smartphones are not different.

Hi, im not spekaing about this issue. Im speaking that the sim card slot number 2 does not support 4G/LTE . Because i tried 4 diferent sim card , but the possiblity to select 3G/4G auto shows just by slot number 1. That means if i want to use LTE i need always switch sim card in the slot number 1. The phone definitely doesnt support both sim cards with LTE/4G. AND that was the reason why i bought it. Totally disappointed.

Hi Max,

I was hoping that anyone with an eMAX Mini would respond but that has not yet happened.
Unfortunately UMI doesn't want to send me a handset so I can actually test this but the Snapdragon does support LTE Dual-SIM. So if this does not work for you then it could be by design (which I cannot verify) or there is a hardware issue with your handset.

I will endeavour to get more info on this, and hopefully someone else can test this and post their findings.

Hi max,

Did you made these tests only using slot 2?. I'm referring that, first of all, put SIM on slot 1 and check that on place where you are 4G is available. After that, remove SIM from slot 1 and put on slot 2, only one SIM in slot 2 with slot 1 empty. Is possible that a message will appear saying that if you want to use SIM detected for data, etc....
3G is working fine in slot 2?

Hi again Max, I can confirm that LTE is working perfectly on Slot 2.
As I explained before, you must do the test only with a SIM inserted on slot 2 and leaving slot 1 empty.

I just insert SIM and automatically LTE started to work perfectly

I use Swipe elite plus and in Swipe Stock ROM i gor 4g perfectly .

Now i switched to Cm12.1 by porting Emax mini Rom into mine from BB( i dont know the name I'm sorry) by restoring some QCN there i ve found.

and now 4g is not working i tries many ROMs from Needrom but nothing Worked.

Anyone give QCN backup of 4g or give me the Solution.
