Umi Iron bugs..

1. Transfering files over USB cable takes forever (~1 Mb/s). Workaround - I use wifi file transfer pro or OTG cable (pendrive).
2. There are issues with camera flash. While taking photos flash is executed too early so the photo is not properly taken (too dark). No workaround. Can anyone confirm this?
3. Orange distortions on pictures taken using front camera - especially in poor light conditions. No workaround. Anyone to confirm?

All the reported issues are known (you can find threads here about them) and under fixing.
As far as I know, the issue of the orange photos with front camera + flash LED was fixed in the 1.6 version. Have you installed that version?

Yes i have 1.6 but i must say that this phone is very good. Battery life isnt yet so good. I got phone on monday..  But keep going! I report another bugs if i find. Does anyone know is there android 6 coming for this umi iron?

Unfortunately a Marshmallow development is not under process for Iron or any other existing phones but for the upcoming Zero 2 only. This state can be changed in the future but no promise.

okay, thats good to know. one important question.. have umi iron gyroscope or not? some apps shows that vendor is MTK and there is somekind of gyroscope? but in google cardboard it dont work.. i just wanna be sure that is there or not?
and i am not sure that if  some shop details telling that there is gyroscope?

According to the officially provided specifications and users' experiences, Iron doesn't have a built in gyroscope. Shops just copy, paste and reedit specs of different devices, so they often make mistakes.

I found another bugs:

1. Wifi disconnect randomly? Already known?
2. Miracast or that working but randomly disconnect connection to Tv.
3.  When taking photo, phone display is some time black.. Picture is still right. Flash maybe come little bit delayed?
4. Keypad clicking sound is very wierd sometimes..  And maybe notification sound always come?

But thanks for great phone. Waiting for new firmware.

Hi, I am posting here as I cannot seem to create my own threads.

I am having the wifi problems as everyone else is having so I thought I would try to upgrade to v1.7 and for the life of me I cannot figure out how...

Why couldn't you just have made it available for ROOTJOY?  Wouldn't that have been easier, for everyone?

Anyway... When I try and use the flash tool it tells me scatter file not available... I have no clue what this is.

Please help, really don't want to fuck this up.

Aye, but you cannot update it through ROOTJOY, says it is invalid.
Only way to do so is through the flash tool, but instructions are incomplete.
