Crashes after updating to Android 7.1.1

I recently updated my Umidigi Z pro to android 7.1.1. The preformance & battery consumption improved nicely.The main issue that I am facing is that every couple of hour I have a crash that requires me to do a forced reboot by long pressing the power button.

Also, before initiating the reboot, the phone will produce weird noises from the speaker, the screen will not react, and only long pressing the power button will make the device react again.

before the update it did not happen.

Please, I would love to get your support on that, cause besides that I am quite happy with the device, but those crashes are a no go.

It is now the 9th, the update for sure got held up.
Admin said a future release will also come with new Umi OS.
I just wish for a ton that will work and fix all of these bugs, for as there is to many.
As long as the bug fixes are soon, because like I said, my phone is rendered useless for now...

Well welcome to July 7th, in America we have less than 2 hours before it's the 8th, in China it is already the 8th. Oh, now what was so special about the 7th, ohhh yes that's it, an update!
Now where oh where could that update be?? Ohh yes, no where to be seen on said date. Guess we'll have to wait some more for these crap phones to be at least okay again...

Dear Umidigi support:

Please give us a signal of hope.

If the update is not out there yet - It maybe means that you are being careful with what you are releasing which is great.

But:

Please, we are many users out there who cannot trust their devices cause maybe a reboot will happen before the alarm suppose to switch on.

I tested the rom that had been launched in OTA and then removed. I installed it via OTA, then in flash with TWRP, and in both cases there was too much bug to keep it:
- 4G which does not activate if one used the wifi before.
- Dual photo sensor very badly managed
- Stereo focus that works only on half the screen.
- Reception not at all brilliant

It's better to keep version 6 for now

The crash appears when the phone is on standby, impossible to wake it up, if you wait a bit it ends up restarting alone.

Sorry for your inconvenience but you can perform factory reset or use SPFT and flash your phone or comeback to previous firmware version.

Can't you just do an OTA fix to solve everyone's issues with 7.1.1?
I'm not comfortable with using SPFT.

The next OTA update is expected to be released this Friday (7th June). However, sometimes flash tool flashing or at least to perform a factory data reset is needed after an Android version upgrade to clear all data saved by the older Android version.

I'm also having the same problem with the crashes. I did really like this phone, but now it's really unreliable and I want to take a sledgehammer to it... I really do wish I never have even heard about this phone. It has given me so many issues. I did do the factory reset and it helped nothing. It's also July 3rd... Where's that supposed update to fix all these new unstable problems from the new unstable os... The other major issue I hate is the overheating. Like I'm on it for not even 10 min, and the damn thing gets to hot to even touch. I'm scared it's someday going to explode. But no, none of this is an issue at all. It's all ok Umidigi!
