UMIDIGI is potentially using SAMSUNG SUPER AMOLED again on coming flagship UMIDIGI Z1 (Video)
UMIDIGI will probably once again apply Samsung Super AMOLED on the coming flagship UMIDIGI Z1. The ultra-slim AMOLED design enables ultra-slim smartphone design, and that’s probably one of the key reasons why UMIDIGI Z1 can have a very thin, 6.95mm body, the thinnest for a big battery phone.
The AMOLED technology also reduces the power consumption by 30%, and even when the phone is not turned on, necessary information will continuously display on the screen. The AOD(Always On Display) reduces power consumption significantly. AMOLED makes the DCI P3, the digital cinema color standard up to 94% coverage, while the AMOLED’s self-emission technology delivers authentic colors to viewers with color vision deficiency. AMOLED reduces the hazard of blue light levels twice as low, which makes it much healthier to the eyes than LCD, and avoid eye fatigue and dry eye syndrome.
With AMOLED screen, viewing images and videos on UMIDIGI Z1 is like seeing brilliant works of art!

Okay I'm sorry for being over enthusiastic, but I've been waiting for your next flagship like ppl wait for iPhones lol yeah I wanted to buy the Z Pro after my friend bought it but I didn't cause of the 4GB RAM & 32GB ROM which is too less so I thought I'd wait for your next flagship and was kinda disappointed when I saw that video where the Z1 was shown with helio P20 and 5 mp cameras.
More than the Display ppl actually look for the cameras, battery, storage and processors while choosing a phone so I hope you are not sacrificing those essential specs.
And you can change the back design too, even One plus copied the 7 Plus so you should go for something like that or anything new, the full antenna lines are boring now, I think instead of changing the display, if you change the back and make it different than Z Pro and keep the remaining specs the same and upgraded the storage and Processor and optimize the software to get the best performance and keep it around $300, it would've been a great phone.
But still the Amoled Display is cool, if it doesn't effect the pricing a lot!
Still there's 10 days for your press release so please take these things and other user suggestions into account, this is an oppurtunity for you to launch that one perfect phone which gives users more than what they expect and makes Umidigi a household brand, same with MTK, it's refreshing to see they ditched Mali for PowerVR but should've sticked with Octa core instead of Deca core but Idk I have a feeling this phone is going to be a special phone for both brands.

Flagship doesn't mean flagship price, it means flagship specs, The price of $299 is okay if the Z1 i ...
Better to wait for the final specs and prices. If we're talking about 8GB RAM and MTK processors, currently the Helio X30 is the only one, that supports 8GB of RAM.
Flagship doesn't mean flagship price, it means flagship specs, The price of $299 is okay if the Z1 is an upgrade from the Z Pro.
But I came to know you are going for a 5 mp front camera, 13 & 5 mp rear cameras and helio P20? That certainly is a downgrade.
Helio P20, 5 mp cameras are not flagship specs, you can't sell your phones just by saying it's thin.
It needs at least Helio X30 to be called a flagship!
And you can't just downgrade cameras like that, either keep them like they are in Z Pro or upgrade, make it 16 mp and 8 mp dual rear and 13 mp front, 5mp is shit!
The Amoled screens is a welcome addition, hope the battery is li-pol and again Helio x30, same cameras as Z pro along with 6GB & 64 GB is worth $300 otherwise nobody is gonna buy your flagships.
Not interesting at all to buy ,is almost a copy of the Z , the Cristal will be much more appealing to buy
and think nobody is whaiting on a so called new model that is almost identical to the z and only a few mm thinner.
The Z has a bad reputation and a lot of costumors are very dissapointed in the Z
Personally i think the Z 1 is to similar to the Z and the name will gives also a bad assosiation
With a price of 299 it will not be interesting to buy and will be the phone with the lowest value for money of a umidigi phone untill now and defnatly will not become a succes, mark my words
In my eyes umidigi is trapped now in a downwards spiral with there so called flagship wannabee phones ,to many dissapointed buyers and prizewize not interesting annymore ,alos to much competition in this price range ,
I agree.
The picture above is not that much inspiring.
Add the silicone back cover in order to keep it from drops and scratches and no one would notice any particular difference comparing it to the competition design-wise.
One thing I noticed here was that UMIDIGI did something different from Apple that left many people disappointed with the white screen of the iPhone 7PLUS, and now UMIDIGI made a red phone with very beautiful features of the iPhone 7 Plus but the screen as Black , Which is sure to please many people!
If the Pro version of this phone is all this with an X30 processor, and if there are not many cases with problems, I am intending to buy this smartphone depending on the price ...
Big yes to Amoled, i wish my tablet have that as i can barely read it in the car on sunny days ( full screen brightness )
I can only assume its a really cheap LCD Asus have used for this tablet.
But i cant justify spending more money on a tablet as i only use it for a hour or two in the car every month.
