UMI Plus E wont start

I have 4 and half months new UMI Plue E and it suddenly shut down while speaking on the phone. And it wont start anymore. Used phone own charger. Newest software. Send video of problem to dealer at Aliexpress.
They offered this: "Can you repair your phone locally? When you finish it, can you send us a repair document (stamped) to us? We reimburse you for half of the maintenance costs. Thank you for your support in advance. best regards umi office"
We dont have repairs for UMI here in Finland. Cannot pay repair cost. Need new phone at no extra cost. What should do?

What I need is new phone and fast. They have a warranty!

Every time there is an issue with an online store, UMI position is the same..."see with the seller, we are not responsible for it". As previously said..good luck !
It's a bit harsh, but these are the issues taht one has to be prepared to face when buying a chinese device on a chinese online seller. Aftersale service and customer support are far more complicated and expensive than a standard one...

Disassemble phone disconnect and reconnect battery. If still not starting you can give phone to any smartphone shop or repairing centre to do this and diagnose what could be wrong. I suspecting loose connector or battery fault. Then you can buy parts and send invoice to seller as was mentioned.

I am sure that this is battery fault. Problem is that cannot get original battery from china by air, it takes 40-45 days via express (sea I guess). With inside phone there is no such problem. For me looks difficult to open this UMI and repair service in Finland cost at least same than whole new phone.

You can process a hard reset (just reboot) by pressing all the three right side buttons together for at least 10 seconds. However, your case seems to be more likely an issue caused by a completely exhausted battery. In that case the battery turns of its output to avoid further discharging and due to this case the phone's electronics simply cannot identify the installed battery. If a hard reset doesn't help, I suggest you to leave your phone on charger for several hours. That's still possible to catch up the charging after a longer time. If still nothing happens, then the battery should be removed for charging by an external power source for at least a few minutes. Then the phone itself will be able again the charge the battery.
The possibility of a damaged software is almost nothing in this case, so I don't recommend to reflash the ROM of your phone since that needs a charged battery for proper processing.

Hello.

I have a problem with Umi Plus E. This same problem have my friends with this cell phone too. It is completely dead. When you connect to its charger, the red LED is shinning, but nothing else is hapening. I tried to connect the phones to PC by USB cable. Usually there is a clicking sound from Windows PC when you connect cellphone and Windows detects it, even if the cellphone is turned off. In my case no sound when I connect it to PC. It is same for the rest of 3 another Umi Plus E which I have here. I disassembled all those Umi Plus E, then reconnect their batteries. Still same. I also know when you disconnect battery and connect cellphone into PC by USB, there should be the clicking sound when Windows OS detects a new device. In my case still no sound which showing a detection of the cellphone, only red LED is shinning constantly. So it seems there is a problem with main board. I also tried to use SP flash tool for reflashing ROM, but I can't because cellphones are not recognized. It's interesting that all those Umi Plus E have the same problem.

Manufacturing defect after 10 - 15 months of using?
