Hi,

[SOLVED: My Network (Three.CO.UK) doesn't support 2G]
I've recently purchased the Diamond mainly because it has 2 Sims and decent specifications.

However, I’ve found that only one SIM at a time can be active. So if I want to used my business number I have to make that SIM active and can not receive any calls or texts on my friends and family Sim until I make that sim active.

Is this how the Diamond supposed to work, or Is it a fault? Every other 2 SIM phone I’ve owned both SIMS work simultaneously!

Both sim should be active in same time but only one can be in 3G or 4G and second only in 2G. Also if you are in call other Sim could be disconnected.
Please remove sim cards and perform factory reset. (settings - backup and reset - factory data reset)
Then set both sims.

Thanks for the reply MarcinP,

Unfortunately a factory reset did not solve the problem. I can only Send/Receive on one SIM card.
From (Setting - SIM Card) I have both SIM cards active, the tabs are to the right and green.
Below the active SIM cards there are a further 3 options, set up as follows

Preferred SIM for
Mobile Data: iD Mobile
Calls: Ask Every Time
SMS messages: Ask Every Time

There is no option under Mobile Data to choose 'Ask Every Time' It’s either one or the other network.
If I try to make a call or send a SMS message from the other SIM it tells me there is no network. SMS messages get sent when I change 'Mobile Data' option to the other SIM.

It seems the problem is with the Mobile Data option.

Tommy.

Ok so maybe network provider on second Sim card (this one which is working when settings are changed) is working only on 3G or 4G but not supporting 2G.
You need check this with your provider.
Mobile data doesn't have option "ask every time" can be only one Sim card in 3G or 4G.

Thanks MarcinP,

That's the problem then, my network for both SIMs (Three.co.uk) doesn't support 2G, it only supports 3G & 4G.

I guess I can swap one of the SIMS to a network that still supports the aging 2G system, or even swap phone to one that supports dual 3G/4G.

Thanks for your help MarcinP, much appreciated.
