Broke my screen on umi plus e,

Hi I live in Sweden Gothenburg and today cracked my screen and it wont work..Where can i get replacement fast in Europe?

This screen should be same/similar quality as original.
I can't tell you in 100% that there is no need update your phone after screen replacement but as far I know currently is only one type of screen supplier so all drivers should be compatible.
About Bluetooth i would advice you to contact VW dealer  for radio Bluetooth update. Probably your radio not supporting fully android platform with latest SoC.
About charging Please don't forget that radio usb is sending only 5V and up to 0.5 A so don't expect to much. If charging icon showing on screen is mean that charging us working.

I received my PLUS E 2 weeks back, and I was enjoying it so much. In fact I wrote a wonderful review about it on DX.com for the same (http://www.dx.com/p/umi-plus-e-h ... k-852453340#reviews) , but alas 3 days back, it fell off my lap and the screen is now broken. Just ordered replacement screen from ali express, i hope it arrives early. managing without a phone as of now.

Question to Mods: my phone was already updated to the latest firmware, will I have to do any other update when i get the screen and put it. And I hope all components will work fine. And I hope the screen quality is going to be similar to what the original was. below is the product i ordered:

Also, while the phone was working, it would never connect to my VW car audio for call audio, however, the car audio is able to connect to my tab or to other phones as well. Once it had connected, but then again it disconnected and didnt connect ever. could you please find a solution for the same, since I travel long distances in my car a lot

Also the phone doesnt seem to charge through car chargers. Is this a known issue?

I really love this phone, i really wouldnt want anything bad to happen to it and not perform as it should after i change the screen.

Hi Guys,

My Umi Plus E screen broke today and half of the screen is working and half of the screen is not working. Based on the above posts it seems like we can get replacement but can we replace the screen on our own eventhough they provide tools?

Only you need get hair dryer to warm up screen to remove from frame.
