Tethering connection with UMI PLUS E

Dear MarcinP,

I have a problem when I would like to share my data connection using the hotspot function.
In fact, when I enable the hotspot function of my umi plus 4, I can connect a smartphone on the UMI PLUS E hotspot but I have no data and no internet access on the second phone.
I check all my APN setting (is fom FREE french operator) and I think it is ok.
Of course I used this SIM card on slot 1 (4G) and the UMI PLUS is working perfectly in data (send/receive SMS, MMS and internet). When the hotspot function is ON, I can use the UMI plus E but it is impossible to share my data connection.
I check my SIM card on a WIKO and Samsung phone and it is possible to share my internet connection without problem.

I am using the last firmware available and I have also a second SIM card on slot 2 (without data from Orange) and it's work without problem.

Can you please check ?

Some network provider blocking Hotspot (not allowing sharing Internet) to do this they checking IP address and if match then you can't share data.
If your phone receiving Internet you should be able share this through to Hotspot.
Of course you can perform factory reset incase there is some bug in your device. To do this you need go to settings - backup and reset - factory data reset.
