Help me decide on Umi Z

Okay, I currently use an LG G4 and I love it. Its the best phone I've ever had and I got my first in 1999. Anyway I've had it for a year now and I'll be looking at changing it soon. None of the "big name" phones appeal to me and up til now I haven't seen any real competition from the Chinese market. Then I saw an article today on Android Authority for a chance to win a UMi Z. So I had a look at a few reviews and was amazed by the spec for the price. But since coming on to these forums I'm reading comments about bad points with UMi phones, GPS problems, OTA updates, promised updates not arriving and such.

Has the Z got the same problems as previous UMi phones? What is your experience of UMi? And would you recommend UMi to me?

\n\nHi! I have had 5 UMi phones and currently have a Plus and think it's excellent. Build quality, battery-life, camera etc as good as I need. The best value phone I have had and would recommend it to anyone. Although you will see many people here with problems, remember that forums are usually the first place to stop when you need help - guess not many sit at their computer to tell the world that they don't have any issues! From what I have seen, the problems seem to arise mainly when you 'tamper' with your device - mine is completely stock and running on 7. I reckon the Z will be better than my Plus - but the Plus is great. Hope that helps...

Also It's hard to tell anything about the Umi Z since it's not out yet
