This summer I purchased two UMI smart phones on the efox online store.
For the purchase, service worked normally, not too many delays.
Unfortunately, one of those phones was faulty and I had to return it to EFOX in order to be repaired. Not before sending a couple of videos and making a few hard resets that made no difference. The problem was still there, clearly a hardware problem. One part of the screen was unresponsive to touch.
I sent the phone in the beginning of October and only one month later I had confirmation that the phone had arrived, even though my post services informed me that the parcel had been delivered long before this confirmation.
Efox claims that the repair is too complicated to be made at home, that they had to send it to UMI for repair.
I constantly keep on asking for information and usually I don´t get any answers.
This was not what I expected from both companies. This was not what I expected when I purchased (what I believed) a reliable phone and 2 trustworthy companies.
I didn´t expect to buy a phone and only having it for a month. Now, I can only expect (if it comes back) to have my phone back, when it´s already obsolete.
I feel ripped off and disappointed.
Despite all of this I even purchased a new UMI Plus E that I am expecting through EFOX (When it comes to sales, everything seeems to run smoother with this company, also, it was the best price).

Here you have all warranty roles
http://www.umidigi.com/page-newguide.html
Here you have full state of umi warranty and resellers responsibility

Warranty/Repair

Warranty disclaimer
Please read about our warranty policy on the following page.

Please note, the warranty is always offered and covered by the seller. Always the seller is responsible for resolving any warranty related issues of their buyers. While we support all of
our licenced retailers with spare parts and replacement devices, as a manufacturer, their activities as sellers are beyond of our control since they are not our subsidiaries, and we do not deal with end-users, who are not our contracted buyers.
Here we can offer you technical support related to the products manufactured by our company but we are not able and not allowed to work with legal matters related to the contract between you and your seller. I recommend you to contact your seller via your ordering page and request to make your phone repaired, according to their warranty policy. If your seller refuses to resolve your issue in an acceptable way, you have legal rights to take action for your own sake, such as opening a PayPal dispute, initiating a chargeback at your account holder bank or to contact the local authorities.
Thank you for contacting us.

Returning goods
While we are sorry for your inconvenience, we must say that, it is never possible to get refunded or receive a replacement item without returning the defective one to the seller. The seller is responsible for bearing the costs of shipping the replacement device but the buyer is responsible to make his/her merchandise received by the seller. To avoid to pay customs fees when you receive your replacement device, you can fill in the CN23 type form when dispatching your returning item. Later, when you receive your replacement goods, using your CN23 form you can certify that, it is a replacement device and you can get it for free of charge.

I would start by beeing happy if someone replied. Obviously, I would also love to get my phone back. However, none of these things seems to be happening in a near future.
Thanks for support, anyway

If you have paid with PayPal or credit card you can start a dispute with the seller. As a side note if you do this with PayPal never close the dispute until you are fully satisfied. The seller will probably try to make you close it but if you do before you have what u want then is bye bye support from PayPal.
Good luck.

I am trying through Paypal.
Efox is not a trustworthy company. Please avoid buying from this company. In case you have any technical issues, you are in trouble. I would have felt better today if I had flushed my money down the toilet.
From UMI, not a single word. Maybe they produce great products (I only had mine for a few days, so I can´t tell) but they also don´t care about the people that buy their products.

If you do like I said with PayPal and don't sucombe to the seller's pressure (saying he can only help you if you close the dispute /never do that!!!!) Then you will probably get your money/new device back. Just be correct in the way you deal with PayPal.
About Umi, unfortunately for you they don't deal with customers but only resellers. In this case you have to deal with the seller.
