According with the information about the Nougat upgrade plan other phones beside the annouced will receive the update?
"... with the above devices and more coming soon." So, can we assume that Touch will eventually receive the Nougat?

Dear Users,

It's not about UMi's decision and efforts but about the support of Google and MediaTek. Currently the MediaTek Helio SoC family is supported by Android 7.0 but the MT6752, MT6753 (used in UMi Touch) and MT6735 processors are not. If this case changes, UMi will be able to release an Android 7.0 upgrade for UMi Touch. As always, I ask you not to mention custom builds created by porting the ROMs of other devices as examples. That's not a way to follow by a manufacturer.

not for the touch anymore: that phone seems completely abandonned by UMI...

Yes I saw that... but as they say "more coming soon." I wonder if more means the Touch, or like we are seeing Touch is already dead for UMI!

And like other situations I dont really expect a official response from UMI!

It is pretty simple.

Here is the proof to see if UMI is a good brand or not.

It they release one Nougat ROM for every of their success phones (Plus, Super, Max, Touch, eMax mini, and eMax), they will have a huge advertising and much more users. If they do not they will simply loose people. Remember : people is the best advertising.

You can't port if you don't have the Mediatek blobs.
