My 4g signal problems including video

Hi all,
Since receiving my UMI super the 4g reception has been very poor compared to my Oneplus One.

Tonight I made a video to show this:

The phone on the right is a Oneplus one. It gets a good quality, steady 4G signal.

The phone on the left is a UMI super. It gets a very weak signal before switching to 3g

The quality of the 3g signal is also worse on the UMI super. Today at my work which is in a non 4g area I kept losing reception. This did not happen on my OPO.

Both phones have identical APN settings.


In my house I get 4g everywhere on the OPO. The UMI super only gets 4g in one room on the second floor. Even then it keeps dropping out and speed tests are slow compared to my OPO.

So far the mods have been quiet on this issue. I need to know if it can be fixed with a software update or should I contact my reseller for a refund?

We are sincerely apologize for you, I don't have Oneplus one and OPO in my hands, so I can't test it now, different phone have different structure, so the signal could be different in the same place. But we will try our best to improve our phone signal reception ability by FOTA update. we will release a new FOTA soon, please pay attention to our community, we will inform you when we release it.

Getting the same as you.

WiFi drop out also when device is woken up have to reconnect.

4g is not consistent..

I'm having the same issue with Rogers in Canada.  I pick up 4G signal once in a while, but 3G most of the time.
