Please add a sub forum for bugs report for more convenience!

It will be easier to track problems.

Thanks!

Dear users,

Unfortunately the current site engine doesn't make it possible to automatically attach data sheet templates to new threads, that would be needed in a bug report sub forum. The site engine will be replaced in the future but its deadline and features are not yet known.
You still can report bugs here in the Products sub forum (most threads are about that) with at least specifying your device.

Regards,
Bence

P.s.: I'm not a site engineer, so my words can be unprofessional.

Well in the meantime you should create a dedicated sub forum anyway for that purpose and provide a canvas to help end users to describe bugs in a structured manner.

Actually the main goal of the Product sub forum is to report issues related to UMI products. The word 'bug' is related to software only while many users cannot discover whether their issues are caused by software or hardware problems. Also a lot of them don't know much about their ROM version and the reproduction rate of their issues while in many cases those details don't make sense.
Regardless of if you call it template or canvas, such elements cannot be added to a thread here by default. I intentionally removed the Complaints sub forum to keep all bug/defection reports in one place to make them easier for clarity. To create a new, specific sub forum for the same reason would just make it worse again.

P.s.: You can delete your own post when re-editing it if you extend the Advanced Options at the bottom left of the editor screen.

ROM version
Description of the issue
Reproduction rate
Steps to reproduce issue
Screenshot if needed
Attachement of a log (if available)

P.S. : thanks deleted now yesterday the forum was slow and caused the multiple messages...  fyr the language of the popup to delete a post has not been translated (still in chinese)

Unfortunately not even a simple template can be added here.
Yes, there are a lot of Chinese stuff here but the site engine is planned to be replaced in the near future.

Dear users,

The Products forum is currently about reporting bugs. So what you're voting for, already exists. What is missing is a Tech forum where users can publish custom ROMs, specific solutions, test results etc. Now such topics are published among the many complaints, so a lot of science gets lost in the mass of bug reports.
So to create a Tech subforum is planned, a bug report one is not.
This thread is closed. I hope, you understand.
