You may use any higher amperage charger. Your phone just simply won't use its maximum capacity while charging but it won't cause any damages if you use a good quality, stabilized output charger since the electronics of the phone will control the charging current. At Touch you can reach (theoretically) an about 1.4A charging current, so a 2A charger definitely can give you a valuable benefit against a 1A charger. 1.4A is quite not too much for a 4000mAh battery.
However, as always, the use of a factory charger is recommended and only using a factory charger is covered by warranty. Please, don't forget that before you start to experiment. |
