I need advice

(I couldn't find the correct forum/subforum to actually put this thread) I have many questions first if I'm to commit to Umi phones, which i'm really considering doing.

1. The Iron Pro, which I'm hoping to buy at christmas has a charger I haven't seen before, being that I've never bought a Chinese phone.
What country is it used in, assumedly China? It looks like I wouldn't be able to use it in the UK without an adapter, and I'm not sure what adapter I'd need?

2. If I was to buy this phone and pay for a sim only plan, and I wanted it to work on say, BT or EE in the UK, would it work?

I really love the look and spec of this phone, the price is amazing and I haven't seen one bad review yet, please get back to me fast!

Hi Benbriggs,

1. If you buy directly from China, sellers usually ship the phones with such wall chargers, that applicable in the destination country. Anyway you may use any kind of good quality wall adapter with a standard USB socket in it. You can buy one even at a local hardware store.
2. All UMI phones are unlocked, so you can use them with any kind of old or new plans.

Will it become available on Amazon before Christmas time? I'd much prefer to buy it from a website I have experience with.

And just to be clear, If I get it shipped to the UK, it will come with a UK charger?

I've also heard the music quality through the 3.5mm jack isn't that good, has this been addressed in the Iron Pro?

I believe that, UMI Iron Pro will be available on amazon.co.uk before Christmas. That's a usual practise of traders to send the phones with the appropriate adapters, but that's better to ask you reseller about that before you send your order.

And where does the Iron Pro stand on the audio issue with the 3.5mm Jack, apparently it's not been very good, has this been addressed? Sorry for getting on at you about this, I just want to ensure its a good purchase before I buy it

The audio issue should be resolved but none of us have actually been able to test the Pro hands-on.
I am confident that we will have more info about this before Xmas.

Yes, the phone will work on all UK mobile carriers for 2G and 3G. It will also work on the BT/EE 4G bands, but not on O2.

Thankyou for the informative reply! That's okay, I have a 4G BT sim only plan and I had to make sure, if the audio has been fixed then it's a definite buy

I just got the info now from UMI. The Iron Pro will be available on UK amazon from the end of this month. The exact day is not known yet.
