Any news if it will still leave lollipop for UMI Emax or can I sell my device?

I want a company's position if we still have the lollipop for Emax, because I want some ROMs 5.1 (Xperia, MIUI 7, LEWA OS 6) and I'm thinking that I'll have to turn off the UMI.

I've already announced that in another thread, UMI eMax won't get the lollipop update. That would be technically possible but this situation is caused by economical reasons. I've got known some corporate secrets about the case but only with the responsibility of not to provide them for the public. You know, If I didn't promise, I wouldn't have got the info.
What I can tell you, the development would be processed by UMI engineers but the needed source code is in TCL's hand and they demand too much for that source. The two firms are still in cooperation by current and future products, so just don't ask me how this can happen. All of these seems to be about the decisions of some leaders and nothing more. So this latter sentence was just a guess but if that's true, the situation still can change in the future. However, that's not more than a hope.

The emax is still one of the best phones in the mid-high category, so I wouldn't do that. What you lose without the lollipop is a bit more performance but not functionality or compatibility. The camera2 api would even not be available with lollipop. This is just an opinion, of course.
