Camera Too Dark

The dark camera issue has still not been fixed. When using apps such as instagram and snapchat the rear camera is very dark to the point that it is not usable. This is a known issue and has not been fixed since the beginning. Any help??

Sorry man, but you'd better forget it.
Umi Plus E is dead, no more supoprt to expect. Security patch is 6 monthes old (therefore you'd better stop using your phone or at least avoid using it for any confidential or personnal stuff like auto-password completion, bank account, online orders and so on.) which is a much bigger issue than any other one. No upgrade to 7.0 nor whatever, lots of issues still not fixed...
With and an average of more than 1 device released every month, how could one expect any support from umidigi for a device that will soon be 1 yr old ?

you have to go into es file manager, search for "build.prop", open it and then search for "ro.def.camera.bright.main=medium" and "ro.def.camera.bright.sub=medium". then edit the medium into "high", reboot and your problem will be fixed.

btw. "main" is the back camera and "sub" is the front camera

Hello hrnsn,

I just tried editing the file and saved it,  but the issue is still present. The camera is still too dark on the apps. Is there something else I need to do or is there something I am missing?
