I have now purchased 5 different screen protectors. Tempered Glass and not.
No one fit perfectly.
Seems a special treatment of Umi Glass
Any solution?

Good evening, I have a similar problem with a tempered glass.
I laid the original glass, but I repositioned it 3 times in a row because it was too small, but there was no trace.
I bought another wider toughened glass of 2 mm, and by posing it, I have on each side along the screen as a 3 mm wide bubble bar.
I think this is due to the poor manufacturing quality of these toughened glasses.
For the next pose, I will clean the screen with alcohol, then wipe with an anti-static cloth. For laying, I would take a wooden toothpick that I will place at the end of the phone, to pull out all the bubbles and remove it once everything is properly laid.

I put a straight edge across the face of my Z Pro and the screen is slightly convex as well as chamfered towards the edges. A glass protector would have to bend in two directions to stick to the face of the screen. I don't think a glass protector will stick properly at the edges due to the strain.

I have also found no protection, which covers the whole display and adapts to the curves.
This is probably not technically possible.

Or does anyone know a display foil (e.g. for the Galaxy S7) where this works?

Read the thread i mentioned and you might get an answer. Only if UMI launches a tempered nano tech glass with a little more flexibility for the arc screen you will have a good experience with tempered glass. Other than that it's just a protection with gaps

I've tried nano film..

Yes, the coverage across the screen is better. Best I could get was slightly less than 1mm non stick on the  sides, 2-3mm at the top and bottom.

Overall, it covered the actual display width.

The only "drawbacks" I had was nano films were harder to install due to bubbles (but not impossible) once you've tried), easily scratched (though not visually visible when screen is on). Had one that suffered scuffing about 2mm square patch but not really noticeable.

But then, I bought those that were pretty cheap on AliExpress, so even if they didn't work properly, I don't burn my pocket.

I've given trying to find a protector that would fit this phone like those I've had in flat screen phones.

That protector in the post you mentioned looks the same as the one in the first post where it's lifting around the edges. Problem is the coating on the screen is supposed to prevent oils adhering to the screen and most adhesives are hydrocarbon based. Not sure if there is a solution to this problem.
