Yes. You are right. I will change my UMI Plus too. Breaks my heart because the phone is fine except for GPS and the price is good! But it is unusable with this condition.
The next phone will be: Official Global Version Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 pro prime special Edition Smartphone 5.5 Inch 3GB 32GB 16.0MP& B4 B20 B28 LTE



The price is the same or little lower but the chipset is Snapdragon  instead of MTK.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 look like a good alternative. I rather would like to have the fingerprint sensor on the front, but I guess/hope I can get used to the back fingerprint sensor.

Well, if I read the comments from Banggood regarding the redmi note 3, it seems this phone has issues as well :-( ..... damn.

Then you need the Pro variant with the snapdragon 650, since it must be a mediatek issue..

I must say that today I had a (10-minute) drive without issues. The weather is clear now, maybe that makes a difference.


Are there any people using the phone dat do NOT have issues with GPS?

Doesn't matter. Too many people complaining about problems. This is not a usable phone, unfortunately.

Hello. I report that my GPS signal is "jumpy" and navigation is impossible to use. I could live with that but I am also experiencing very low volume for calls (music is ok) both from the internal speaker and headphones. The phone is basically unusable for these two very important features. I am VERY disappointed: I am trying very hard to like this phone but I am right now switching back to my Motorola X Play :-(

Curiously, UMI Support has not responded since November 1st, 2016...I chose to get refund this bad UMI Plus.
Oh these Chinese! They still have a lot to learn: it's not enough to produce a pretty smartphone. Still must it work properly !!!

Ειμαι κατοχος του UMI PLUS απο 1-11-16 και εγω εχω προβλημα με το gps.Εχω δει οτι ποσταρει και καποιος Ελληνας ακομη , συγγνωμη για τα Ελληνικα , δεν ξερω καλα αγγλικα.Τι θα κανουμε μ αυτο το τηλεφωνο, εμενα μου ειναι απαραιτητο για την δουλεια μου το gps ,μηπως πρεπει να μας αποζημειωσει η UMI;
Θελω να βρουμε μια λύση ,το τηλεφωνο ειναι πολυ καλο για τα λεφτα του , αλλα το gps τελειως χαλια.
