I see the new beta firmware has updated screen digitizer driver. Maybe it will fix this.

Hi, I have an S3 Pro that somehow bricked itself while I was using it. Everything froze and then the screen went black. It would not turn on no matter what I do, and I decided to leave it on my charger overnight. This morning it is still black screen. I decided to try and flash the newest beta update, but while the flash tool was loading that red bar, it suddenly gave me an error message and windows also gave me a notification that my phone/USB device malfunctioned and it can't be used. I have swapped multiple USB-C cables and they all give me the same message; I think this is the phone's issue. What do I do? The phone is not recognized by my PC, and on the rare occasion it is, it keeps connecting and disconnecting.

I've had the phone for a month. I'm kind of disappointed; I want a refund. I'm able to ship it back but I'm still waiting on support to respond to my email, if they ever will.

This is exactly what the risk that we purchased phone via internet store. If you have any problems, you cannot take it (somewhere authorized dealer) to repair, you must send the phone back to them at your own cost and there is no way to confirm that they received the phone, What can you do if they said they never received the phone??  This is what I concern to buy any electronic stuff via internet store. I hope you can solve the problem soon.

I am genuinely concerned...I am a high school student so I cannot always afford a new phone whenever I want. I can barely afford another one right now, and I desperately need the refunded money so I can get a functional phone...

From Umidigi Tech:

"the new update for S3 Pro will be available between 31th May – 5th June and will add some new features, such as AI scene, bokeh effect improvement, AR, night enhance mode and selfies with bokeh function, auto-focus for video shooting improvement, including new ringtones, fix Russian translation, system optimized, mini bugs fixed. We will try our best to let the update be available on 31th May, but there will be a possibility that the update can be delayed on June 5. Thank you."

It's interesting to see what improvements the new update can bring to us. Just can't wait although it's really close to the time..

"It really takes a lot of time for the software. Our engineer is trying to make the upgrade better. They worked hard these days for earlier release of the update."

Update:

"Hi, Everyday UMIDIGI engineers are optimizing the camera performance for the UMIDIGI S3 Pro. We invested a lot for the camera to improve camera performance. However, since we need to bring the total new algorithm into the S3 Pro, and optimize the performance from zero, at the final stage now we have a problem with the front facing camera. We still need a few days more to optimize the software. Tomorrow we will have a new beta version for the S3 Pro. If the new version will pass our test, we will open a new OTA for s3 pro tomorrow.... this is on umidigi facebook page."

Camera app is leaps and bounds better then the old app. not perfect but really nice, can't wait to get off work and go take some pics.
