UMIDIGI Z2 Pro V1.0_20180926 ROM - SPFT + OTA release

Now that I have this ROM installed 20180926, my biggest problem is losing the connection from the mobile network.  I work in a warehouse where there is no phone reception.  When I go back to an office (or anywhere that can get phone reception), my phone does not reconnect.  Aeroplane mode on/off (or restarting the phone) is the only way to get the network signal working again.
Just to clarify, I can't receive calls, SMS and there is no 2G/3G/4G internet.

My phone got updated with the latest release but now do not see Bokeh mode. I see Video, Photo, Stereo & Panorama. The camera is the worst on this phone takes useless photos. Supposed to be quad camera  system 16.4MP. Updates is supposed to make better not make it worse. Why is UMI not learning

Its a joke. This is my last DIGI phone  I will purchase.

I have one bug with Bluetooth: The first call (Bluetooth in my car) per day ends between 1:30 an 2:00 minutes. The Bluetooth connection is aborted. When I turn the Bluetooth off and on again, for the rest of the day it usually works without interruption.

Two major drawbacks I have seen so far :

1. OTG does not work. Tested with 4 cables, using USB sticks and powered USB drives. Nothing does. Has anyone succeeded in using OTG ? Please explain necessary steps.

2. Cannot use DriveDroid to expose a bootable Linux image as USB or CDROM. UMS Enabler says 'No LUN file in the kernel'. Is this a requirement of Google ? A Umi's policy ? Something that was missed while configuring the kernel ? A feature that can be implemented in a next release ?

(There remains call performance to be tested; my nano SIM is on order.)

i can say you that OTG works perfectly, you must use the right adapter not a simple cable ;)
You can buy one on aliexpress for less of a 1 €/$.

The firmware version is UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180914-1020. It did not work on top of it to roll the UMIDIGI_Z2_PRO_V1.0_20180823_20180926-1646-2_update firmware to update the OTA manually

After upgrading to version 20180926, Wifi at 5 GHz band stopped working. The system sees the access point but cannot connect.

I confirm the 5Ghz band is no longer connectable after the 0926 update.  It worked before the update.  I haven't found a way to get it back.  This is definitely a serious bug as the phone loses its  ac wifi capability and has to rely on the slower a/g/n wi fi.

For me it is working, but the downloadspeed is really slow, I get 40mbps on my 200mbps line when I sit next to it. Also it loses connection and reconnects randomly.
