I have eventually managed to flash this rom using a windows 7 pc after several failed attempts using a windows 10 pc, this rom is a huge improvement over the stock rom. The main problem I have is no visual notifications I get a audio notification for email/whatsapp etc but nothing on the notification bar so i have to go into the app to see if i have any messages.
I have to say I am disappointing by the phone, hardware wise its great but its OS has really let it down and i dont feel i should be having to flash a new rom myself manually to be able to get something i can use.
Please release a vanilla version of Android 7 for this phone as i am strongly looking at returning the phone.

Ps I suggest you use driver booster is a program to update drivers and to find drivers Peripheral missed, even in the free version does its job, maybe it can help even if I can not assure that it is so.
Hi friend, i've lost the imei but don't how to recover, i don't knew where to found the db files for sn writer tool, also tried other methods like engineer mode or at commands, but without root priviledges coannot do it. Please help me. i cannot use the phone.
as you say an official updated ROM will be released soon by OTA, will the camera software be redone, in order to produce REAL Bokeh effect? as actually there is only a round shape neat in focus area and all around is blurred.
that's typically only a software gimmick and NOT real Bokeh or Portrait mode. if you have 2 lenses in the phone which really are working then it should be no problem to supply a stock camera app which takes benefit of it and
calculates a real depth of field simulation to obtain a Bokeh/Portrait effect like with SRL cameras!!!
so far the dual lenses DO NOT MAKE THEIR JOB. you can block the second lens and the photos incl. fake bokeh effect are still possible to obtain without any difference in the results.
this situation is inacceptable in a phone of US$ 300 ....
the XIAOMI MI A1 for instance costs less than that and has perfect bokeh / portrait mode!
i really expect UMIDIGI to correct this situation which is a shame actually.

No problem friend. Actually i have a question. After you formatted your Nvram partition. Does your fingerprint scanner still works? Coz mine stopped working after i formatted the whole flash.
