I don't see why they can't be honoust about this. Something like... "Sorry, bad design battery. We are working on a new safe type. You will receive one in roughly 4 weeks".
If battery actualy explodes or bursts then the toxic gasses that come out could potentialy be lethal. It seems these guys from Umi don't care about there customers (health) but only about selling.

I see DealExtreme is dumping the Z and Z Pro taking 30% off the normal price.....

Same here... I sent the email 4 days ago a no one answered... Umi can't get one single thing working properly.. people are starting to realise this and it gonna hurt their business country by country

Be patient guys, I sent my request just after the admin is done are post, and I have received an answer.
The most important is that they have set up an exponential process to help us, even if it is normal for us.

Need to know also that the admin and the moderator are not robots, there are an incredible number of section and post by telephone.

This is the answer I received 3 days ago regarding this issue:

1. Record that you have asked the seller already (where you buy the phone) but they refuse to help you.

Please kindly understand as Umi has deal with seller about warranty and after-sales part so that we can make a global solution. When have problem need first ask seller to solve because this is the fastest way. If all to Umi directly it will be very slow and will have a bad service. Umidigi Z battery problem is an urgent case, our focus is for customer can't get any help from seller only.

Sorry for trouble and hope you kindly understand.

If you have not contact the seller please contact with them firstly.

I replayed to her explaining that the original announcement was not requesting the fist point and I can not apply for warranty at the seller (Gearbest) since I already opened the phone and took out the battery to avoid further damage. When I did this I took into consideration the original announcement for the replacement program that said that we should be aware the warranty will be voided if we go for the second option of them sending the battery. Also they said that we can provide pictures of the damaged battery (witch implies opening the phone as I did).
Other than this I provided all the information needed with very explicit photos.

So after my reply with this explanation I got no response.
This situation it's starting to piss me off as I'm left for a long and unknown period of time with my old backup phone and no solution to repair this one.
At least if I could find a battery to buy so I can get over with this mess.
Come on Umi recognize that you don't have a reliable battery for this model.

I created this topic on June 16. I still haven't received a response to the email.
Really tired.
Write specifically what date and month will start sending batteries, so as not to come here every day and not spoil your mood?
If there are no batteries (as I'm already sure), send me another new Umz1 phone, and I'll send you my phone with defective battery. And do whatever you want with it.
That's how you laugh at us ?!
Put more people to solve the problem, work on the weekend.
This is force majeure.
I also do not work on Saturday and Sunday, but if necessary I go to work and on the day off.
Soon people will begin to spread bad reviews on YouTube and write bad comments in online stores.
Or just say honestly: -friends! Batteries will not! Buy another phone!!
