Dear All
I have just try this solution.
1. Go into your phones "EngineerMode" (most Mediatek devic ...

i have tried this solution both in my UMI PLUS and UMI SUPER. i was better for the first time but when i moved to anothe place far from where i did this fix, it returned to "normal" and jumped all the way.also tried to use the application "GPS reset" from google store, it was better for the first time but thereafter it returned to jump.
i believe that the problem is related to the hardware not to the software.

Dear Arnonira
I m thinking the same... probably the problem is related to the hardware...but I hope to find a smart trick to solve the problem....otherwise they are forced to seek compensation...
I like so much the device but without the gps i cannot hold it...

After doing many tests I managed to stabilize the gps.
The only way that works well is to put the phone in airplane mode.
Using applications with offline maps and maps here or GPS works perfectly.

Therefore the phone has a hardaware problem of incompatibility of antennas 4g wifi and GPS antenna.

This should know UMI to solve the problem.

Until we solve UMI hope I have helped with this trick.

Dear Pepelu thanks a lot for trick...
tomorrow I will try it.
So you think the problem is in the hardware.
Do you think Umi will be able to resolve the problem with update of the system or you think the best way will be to change the smartphone with another Brand?
thanks in advance.

Hello guys. I can confirm navigation works when airplane mode is on. At least on my UMI. I tried now on my way to work.
Thanks Pepelu.

UMI now it is your turn. How you will solve these "isolated" hardware issues?

My GPS signal is awesome!!

I take back my original comment, my GPS was not useable today when using Waze or Google maps.

Hopefully android N fixes this?

UMI it seems many people are having the same issue, can you please step in with an official response? Is this being worked on or do we need to return our devices for refund?

The UMI Plus is an awesome device if only the GPS worked properly & i didn't get random "no network errors" when using the web.

Edited by Menomis at 2016-11-7 21:03 \n\nDear fellow users,

Despite the fact that the blue dot is constantly jumping around when using "detect location" botton on Google maps, if you try to set a route for a destination it seems to stabilize and work properly.
Today I tried the GPS on my UMI Plus using Google maps while driving. Vocal directions and actual position were fine and on point.

Google suggests to turn WiFi on to improve accuracy (no need to be connected to a wifi network, just turn it on). I turned on 3G/4G + Wifi + GPS for the test.

I am asking you to do the same and test your UMI this way, despite the fact that the blue dot always jump around at first. Set a route and follow it, get back to me with your report.
