A few things I wish to add upon using the Crystal 4GB/64GB these few days.
Things that work:
a) Connection to Laptop Win10 Pro 64bit pose as no problem. First connection, I can see "CRYSTAL" within This PC. And access to the files in storage.
b) Over the limited period of using crystal over a few days, I have not received notification of CPU/Soc or battery temperature reaching the high limit. This using Powerful Monitor app with 60 Celcius and 50 Celcius for CPU/SoC and battery alert setting. The app records the maximum CPU SoC and battery temp over the duration at 40 and 41C respectively.
c) System UI Tuner is available by press and hold the gear icon upon pulling down the notification menu. Some other small options available such as battery % on notification area.
Things that does not work:
a) Of course GPS satellite lock is still impossible as my earlier post. Either in static mode or worst when in a vehicle trying to navigate. It must be madness for anyone playing Pokemon Go.
b) Proximity sensor location and it's accuracy is a question. It seems that the sensor is co-located with the light sensor, on the top edge of the phone. Not on the top front of the phone. Moving an object to the front of the screen is not being detected by the proximity sensor. It only detect movement from the top edge of the phone, and it reads either 10cm or 0cm only, accuracy issue?. So in this case, a flip cover will not turn off the screen. Prevent pocket dial feature is not available in the settings that can be used with the proximity sensor. No option to calibrate from setting page.
c) Limited functionality of LED Notification feature and it seems to be only in white colour.
d) Not all 8 cores are being utilize fully. In looking at the cores usage history even after some activity on the phone it looks like the cores are throttled. Possibly this also result in the low SoC temperature but losing in the potential SoC processing power to further improve UI experience.
e) No notification when connected to laptop. Normally you will see an icon at the notification area that it is connected to a Computer.f) Not sure of these dual lens 13MP + 5MP rear camera. It looks like the bottom lens is the main and only camera as the screen goes dark when you close it while you can still see and capture image with the top lens closed.
g) Compass or possibly E-compass does not seems to be pointing correctly. No calibration setting available.
h) Gyroscope?
Appreciate feedback from other crystal users and wIll update upon other findings.
