That beta is obviously a TCL M2M firmware, not an eMax one. That's the reason of the same issues. These M2M firmwares are provided on romjd.com. I just mirroring them for those users who don't have a baidu account. Now I'm in touch with some UMI employees, so I try to get as much information as I can, but unfortunately they're not members of the technical personnel. I'm also an eMax user anyway, so I'm personally interested in the lollipop upgrade.

Today I made too much stupidity to the device tests with iocean m6752 and lenovo k50
blocked 5 times the phone
have to do format with the tool and reimplantation imei 2 times
I leave fallen for now I have to use this phone every day

I've given up the experimenting for the same reason. I bought this phone for daily use, not for playing with it.

Its a bit of a late response but, I am also under the same mission. What I have been doing is instead of making a whole new system.img and re-flashing, I have root browser installed, and I just install/remove the files I am wanting to change through that. It may not be as quick, but its worked so far.. I will be trying some of the roms of this phone and reporting on my "experiment" forum.

As an addition, we know that, there's another eMax lollipop firmware in UMI developers' hand that fully working but the touch screen. I try to get that version if that really exists.

Well, its really would be nice if they give it to us. Maybe we can figure out something.
