Good day. Received the shipment today, installed all the updates available, reset phone to factory d ...

I think that's because of the missing GMS certificate. I read about it in another thread somewhere.

Make sure you have updated to the latest ROM/firmware version in Settings -> About -> Wireless Update, then reset the phone to factory defaults. Yes it means you will have to start again and reinstall all apps, but you should get all Google apps working as normal from then on.

Use the middle slot for your SIM card. Works for me.

Hi. I've already resetted to FD, didn't work for me. Both slots don't work with 4G, already tried.UP. And the middle slot is №2 in my phone.

UP! It's a sim card problem. All other SIMs get 4G on this phone. It's very strange, I was sure 4g worked on previous phone. So there's only one problem left - with GPay. Will I get the patch with OTA, or no chance and better user flashtool?

UMIDIGI F2 BUGS

Had my phone 3 days now. I had the One & Power before, and this is definitely best Umidigi I own.
Some review on You Tube says cameras are bad, but all mine work great. No focus on Macro....but you dont need with closeup. You just move the camera small distance to focus. Really no need to criticize. Also, rated at 5MP in specs, but only 2MP on phone....not that it matters.

Only issues I have:

1. Fingerprints hard to set up as goes back frequently to start without registering.
2. I sometimes get crackling in speaker before message comes through on Whatsapp. I have tried different sound setting notifications. Weird, and not all the time.

For the money, I am not complaining at all, and pretty sure updates will fix.

I have the Umidigi F1 and the Umidigi X both have two microphones and work well in my opinion. I'm waiting for the F2 to arrive. My concern Is why Umidigi would only put one microphone in the F2.  I hope having only one microphone on the F2 instead of two, one on top one on the bottom as usual doesn't affect the recording or call quality of this nice looking phone. I didn't notice the F2 only having only one microphone until after I'd purchased it. I'm not sure if I would have ordered it knowing it only had one microphone instead of the normal two, I would think having only one microphone would reduce the quality of the F2.  Any info of why Umidigi decided to just have one microphone at the bottom which could be covered with just a finger during a phone call would be appreciated. Maybe I'm missing something but I thought having a noise canceling microphone on the top of the phone was an added plus and normal.

I guess different strokes for different folks.....

Call quality seems good to me, but I dont make alot of calls.
After my Umidigi One, I didnt think I could live without notification LED....but guess what? I adapted.

So....no phone is perfect. They are all compromises. But for this price, I can live with the compromises without regrets.......

Any  update guarantee ?
I really hope Umidigi is not another one-shot-deal kind of company.

Don't hold your breath on any significant updates. The F1, launched a year ago, won't get any upgrade to Android 10 and the last security patch Umidigi made available is from May.

The F2 was advertised for it's cameras , Why didn't Umidigi enable EIS electronic Image stabilization like they did for the F1 and the Umidigi X.
I own all three and the F1 and the X take better video and pictures than the new F2. I hope Umidigi provides an update that will put the F2 on par with the other umidigi phones. I've really supported Umidigi but I feel If they're going to not fix the camera and video issues with the F2 I'll stop recommending Umidigi and won't purchase another one of their products again. I also feel they should provide at least one android version update like from 9 to 10. I feel If Umidigi really wants to grow and standout and compete with lets say Xiaomi they're going to have to provide better software support and at least one Android upgrade. Umidigi stands above the rest in the frequency bands they support. That's the main reason I purchased Umidigi phones, other wise I'd have purchased from Xiaomi at least they have good cameras and do update their phones including updating to newer versions of Android. I'm still rooting for Umidigi but beginning to feel like you get what they send you and I guess if it turns on it's good enough.
