This is the Z2P wi-fi speeds in my basement with router upstairs. No real problems here. Upload is a bit slow but that is server related as I usually get 18 to 30 mbps up.

I'm getting better speeds now, after reconfiguring my wifi networks in the phone.
The first image should be my 5GHz network  second should be my 2.4GHz, and third should be my 4GLTE cell network.

Atrocious WiFi on my new Z2 Pro - is there a problem with the signal power settings in the Rom?

I have a cheap Doogee X5 Max Pro here and it gets solid strong signal in my office (back of house).

Z2 Pro has no reception.

Completely unusable WiFi unless I am literally sat within 5 metres of the router.

Have tried with 2 different routers, same problem.

Is there going to be a fix for this or do I need to return the device as faulty / poor quality?

I get exceptional WiFi performance on my Z2 Pro. Even better than my last phone which was more expensive. I'm betting you just got a bad device. If it's still possible, exchange it for a new one. It's worth a shot. I've been pleasantly surprised by this phone...everything works as advertised on my example. Maybe I was just lucky

I personally just bought a new router. It did fix my speeds up a little, but the wifi connection my phone uses is constantly bugging out, regardless of how close I am to the router.

This is my experience... I've installed a 'keep-alive' app which helps a little. But very low signal strength means I can't use the phone on Wifi unless I'm within about 5 metres of the router.

Wifi range should be 100 metres line of sight. Not impressed...

5ghz is stronger but the phone won't connect after entering a password, apparently this could be a region problem?

I also have this phone and i must say the wifi connection consistency is god awful.
Every feature but the wifi is great, please can UMIDIGI admin do some work on this phone, regardless of new phones.
