This basic release has absolutely no effect on the fingerprint scanner, your issue is not related to this software release. Try to format the flash chip (auto format whole flash without the bootloader), then flash any ROM again. If your issue still persist, the connector of the fingerprint sensor should be checked inside.

I can't confirm your issue. Did you try to change the wallpaper in Settings --> Display?
bokeh option crashes camera
It's a bug in V1.0_20171227, not related to the basic edition. Please wait for the next update or you can downgrade to V1.0_20171207.

Yes, so far things works as expected. I have the camera app bokeh crash too, but i don't mind. I only used the stock installation very little, so I can't really compare speed and so on.
One thing I noticed though is that Chrome browser stutters while the built-in browser doesn't. That's weird. I wonder where that browser comes from.
Before installing this rom, everything works perfectly.
The flashing process was correct.

The flash tool is customizable. If you flash a new version, just uncheck the userdata partition (the last one in the list), and your user data will not be erased.
