... i pass over ... come to an xiaomi mi mix , and forget umidigi and mediatek processor
unidigi, they aren't capable to provide what they have advertised
mediatek , don't give to the developer the source code , they have a lot of "copyrighted" code

OK, I have been looking for help all day to no avail throughout the forums and have almost given up. I am going to try to port some roms to work for the umi plus e, I have seen a few possible roms that may work but am looking for anyone that knows of any really good custom roms that support this chipset on other devices. It would be nice to have a few options here as if porting does not work on some. Thanks in advance and I hope we can get this resolved even if by our own means. As always, thanks in advance.

ok after a little more digging I see all of these phones have the same chipset, do we know if there are any good working nougat custom roms built for these devices? Obviously, I will be researching but this can be tedious without actual first person testing of rom functionality, stability, speed, and battery draw.

The problem is on the Motherboard and not on the chipset or the memories.

Umidigi shop on Aliexpress   ( official ) refuses to accept the return of the phone and I have alleged that they have made a misleading advertisement in the pre-sale. They claimed that they only accept in the first month, this is a case of mockery, misleading advertising, which is punished by law in any civilized country.

I feel cheated and I will continue to do my job on the outside and I will participate in this case to Alibaba to tighten the siege to this type of cheating.
I will make a complaint to the European Consumer Agency, to warn of this cheating that has deceived many people and perhaps so in the next negotiations of import trade is covered some law that protects the European consumer and other countries as well ...

Same for me, Online retailers said they are sorry but can't do anything as they can't be responsible for manufacturer's failure.
But they indeed told me that they have to deal with a fast increasing number of similar complaints about same manufacturer, Umidigi, and that they are currently investigating, so as to eventually stop selling online their products....go on guys, we will make it !
