I have an umi super that actually works... apart from focusing on close up objects.
It had battery expansion issues but I took it apart and put in a new battery.I use it everyday because its more reliable than
Umidigi S2 pro, which is dreadful.its buggy as hell, camera next to totally useless the list goes on.last umi/umidigi product
I will ever buy.

That's normal to flash white, then yellow LED while capturing. Do you have any issues with the captured photo?

Sir.
I congratulate telepathic abilities in determining the cause of the fault on my phone for a distance. This is not a mechanical damage, nor due to bad use of the phone. Simply, while charging in this place, the electronics are warming up and the temperature damages the screen. Typical conduct of an unreliable company. To sell, and then let the customer worry. I am disappointed. And one more entries uncomfortable for UMIDIGI entries are removable. I do not offend anyone.

I watched your video with my eyes, no telepathy. A slightly tinted screen is simply not a warranty issue, regardless of its reason.

Flash at least the boot and system partitions with SP Flash Tool. Then you have to reinstall Super SU from TWRP.

I just created my account to complain. So beware: Wall of text.

I bought my UMI Super about a year ago. So far, it was a really good working device for me with great battery life. I had only small troubles with GPS or finger print sensor ghosting, but the user posts in this forum were kind of helpful with that already. This is going to be mostly about battery life, so I want to state that my Super was on the latest Android 6 until a few weeks ago and I got 2 full days of battery life with my normal use.

A few weeks ago I decided to update to Android 7 and this is where the problems began. I kind of immediately realized that now I had severe battery drain. I already had GSAM Battery Stats app installed, so I looked at this.

Before the update, if something was draining the battery or something creating wakelocks, it was usually an app, which I either could replace or just stop to improve things. Not so on Android 7. Suddenly the Kernel takes all the power and the devices sleep behaviour is really bad.

I get mostly Kernel wakelocks now. spi_wakelock and ma_wakelock. At some point it was even by ttyC0. Googling for these didn't really yield good results. Other people had these, too. I found one mentioning of the UMI Super on XDA and several for other devices, but no good solution.

ma_wakelock seems to be related to WIFI somehow. Having WIFI disabled, causes no new ma_wakelock occurences.
spi_wakelock could possibly be related to GPS. Setting positioning to ONLY GPS improved things a little on this front.

Something else I observed is, that I cannot use just any charger anymore. At home I use the UMI charger that came with the phone. That works fine. At work I use a HTC charger with 1amp, but right now, it always stops charging at a certain percentage (59%) and then will also disable/enable charging. I tried a different cable, but it behaves the same. My car charger on the other hand works fine again. Again, on Android 6 the HTC charger worked just fine.

So, after fiddeling a lot with the phones settings, playing around with the feature to close background apps and such, I can get a day of use with low use. If I even attempt to go for regular use, I won't have enough juice in the evening. Going to bed with the phone fully charged and WIFI/Data disabled also results in a battery drain of at least 10% over night, where before I had 3% at most! Leaving it at 30% over night is a serious risk now.

Now, I didn't do a factory reset after the update. This was suggested by many people. I did that just today though and see what this will result in. If battery behaviour is still the same and doesn't improve drastically now, I will go back to Android 6 and see if that fixes it. Using the HTC charger now causes the charge to stop at even 46%.

Most likely, I will just ditch the Super in the short term and get something else. I had high hopes for the S2 Pro and even had ordered it, but the software is so bad, I don't even want to discuss it (and the custom ROM is not an acceptable solution), so I immediately sold it again.

If you have thoughts on my observations or some ideas on how to proceed, please let me know.
