Please don't be so negative. The two models are almost perfectly identical, only the back camera setup is different. So, you can install and run this beta ROM even on a Z Pro and only the back camera won't work. It's Android 7.1.1, not 7.0. The final Android 7.1.1 version will be released on the same or almost the same day for both UMi Z and UMIDIGI Z Pro.

New models but with older processors inside. That is the key. The Crystal is just an idea yet, not a real product, so now we can talk about UMIDIGI C Note and UMIDIGI G. Both of them are built with MT6737 SoC, which received the Android 7.0 SDK from MediaTek much earlier. So, that's possible to release them with Android 7.0 out of the box. Maybe you could realize that, even the newer C Note and G will be released with Android 7.0, while the Z and Z pro is receiving a 7.1.1 upgrade now. So basically the Android version is specified by the SoC and usually only the higher standard SoC platforms receive Android version upgrades.

I know, this is just a beta and benchmarks are discussable... But fyi...

On my Z with everyday setup. Antutu (i don't like it) scored around 88.000 points.

Google has just released v7.1.2 patch with about 120 security fixes. Do you think you could add the security fixes to your ROM please ?

2. there is no point to hide on-screen buttons  

You can change it if you want, you just need te expand the notification panel and press the pencel at the top (next to the battery level)

I just installed the update, and everything is very nice:

+ 7.1.1 instead of 7.0
+ Finger print scanner works a lot faster!! Good job!!
+ I didn't lose my IMEI (you need to flash the preloader first)
+ Stock 7.0 notification panel!!!! (Finaly!!!)

- Battery life can be better (but is still great)
- Old (or wrong) boot logo
- No fast charging
- Can't disable onscreen buttons
- No stock 7.1.1 wallpapers (please, add the stock 7.0 wallpapers!)
- A lot of overheating...

I also didn't flashed the ROM as a firmware upgrade, I just selected download, so I still got all of my data, apps,...
I really like the (béta) update!!!

\n\nI noticed a lot of good things different and of course not everything is perfect let's face it (the notification led only triggered during the recharge, the laser focus is not active and neither option has in the camera menu, you can not hide the physical buttons, biometrics Is ok yet, the language is still not translated 100% pro ptbr, I noticed some bugs in the official UMI APP for PC ROOTJOY it is not showing the current memory status and from time to time it turns off the connection at the time of the Recover but it is only disconnect and connect and restart the process it comes back from where it had stopped, still do not test the fast loading because I am still connected in USB restoring my almost 250apps


And this without the WiFi bug, I did not have any problem with the IMEI everything is OK and now it has a compass thing I had not seen yet here in the umi,
For those who were complaining about the volume this apparently is higher than normal
As usual during some procedure that demands more processing it warms up so far as normal,

Hi,
Rootjoy is a long time discontinued project. The last supported model was the UMi Rome.
The compass works perfectly in this version but you might need to calibrate it by simply drawing eight shapes in the air.

The initial reports look very promising. A big thank you to all beta testers. I hope developers will take their time and squash all those pesky bugs. Also could anyone of the beta testers try the Google Cardboard Camera - the camera app was not focusing at all. I am wondering it it was fixed in A7. Thank you.

\n\nFirst for a beta it runs very good. When you want to change the Band the Android.phone crash so you can't change to europe band. Another issue i don't can find the nightmode feature. Maybe it's Not Not implement at the moment? Sometimes the phone don't become a Data conneting so i must go in airplanemode and back to normal then ist works. Another issue when making a video at lowlight the video is dark but pictures look okay.
