The flash timing issue is known and the developers are working on it. The auto-focus problem sounds to be unique. Doesn't even it work if you touch the preview screen?
UMI Hammer's battery issue was caused by a mistake of the battery manufacturer. I don't know about lying in accordance with UMI Iron, so I ask you not to use such words without proofs.
That's a defection of your phone (as I remember, we've already discovered it), so a ROM update can't make it better. Your phone (or at least its camera module) should be replaced.
I've bought couple of those UMI Iron for my family. Fisrt thing I noticed that pictures are worse than UMI Zero that we had before and that should be the same sensor but now I see that this camera in our phones is not even Sony IMX214 how is that possible... I have written to seller asking same question and still waiting for reply. Shame on you UMI

So um yeah.. false advertising if i do say so myself, it is a general issue that the camera is of low quality and was advertised to be good to some degree..
Hi Bencebasci, thanks for the reply. I don't believe this is correct. When I first load up the camera the picture is fine and then the autofocus kicks in and anything further than 1m from the camera becomes blurry. Really is bizarre. Seems to be alot of people with the same problem.
1. 3-5 users are quite not a lot.
2. If that were a software issue, then all users running the same ROM version would experience the same problem but they don't.
So that's a hardware defection. That can mean the malfunction of the internal elecrtronics of the camera as well, not only a physical damage.
I have the Umi Iron a month ago, and the last days, the camera presents the same problem described here. The Autofocus isn't work.
The first pictures are fine, but with the past of the days, the images aren't focus.
The front camera is fine.
1.6 is my ROM version.
Please your help to fix this big issue.
