Try putting your KPN sim in the s6 edge and compare the readings then. It's not a real comparison if they are on different networks

The reason you have to turn on Roaming is because the phone doesn't correctly determining the "home" ...

This made no difference for me. 3 in the UK have their own dedicated 3g and 4g network

So you have no data connection even though you activate Roaming? Are you sure that data is activated on the pull down menu`?

I'm having similar issue with Rogers in Canada.  Can only connect to 3G.  This is frustrating as I have tried everything that's been suggested in this forum.

I don't have an issue with the data connection.

My issue is with the strength of the signal.

OK had a play around tonight and was able to create some strange results.

I went to a place in my house where I have never seen the Super connect to 4g.

The phone had a decent 3g signal but a rubbish speed test.

Using engineering mode I then switched the phone to 4g only. I immediately got a decent signal (although it was still weaker than my One plus One. The speed test was much better than 3g.

Although the signal is weaker this test would suggest to me that there are software issues that is causing the phone to unnecessarily switch from 4g to 3g.

My little test can be seen here:

It is exactly the same thing I suggested yesterday in an another thread. The problem is the value of the threshold which forces the switch between 4g and 3g.

Unfortunately UMi super doesn't support the LTE frequency bands used in American countries. You can use 2G/3G networks only.
Please check the frequency list on the official product page.

But for example I live in Italy (all lte bands are supported) and the switching problem between 4g and 3g it is there. The signal threshold for 4g dropping is too high and for this reason the phone drops 4g and goes in 3g even if the 4g signal level is good enough. Infact if I set 4g only the phone goes in 4g with a good signal level. Please Umi fix this problem

Thanks
