UMIDIGI F2 Launched with 48MP Quad Camera

Received the Umidigi F2, but it is defective in at least one important way. Calls made using the F2 (outgoing voice from Umidigi F2 phone) sound very muffled to the listener on the other end of the line. The connection on the receiving end sounds like the F2 caller is in a tunnel. Umidigi needs to correct this problem right away by releasing a software update, or they will have to deal with a lot of returns. I am going to return my phone. It is unusable.

Ordered October 14, 2019. Tracking number shows shipment cancelled December 4, 2019. No notification or info from either AliExpress or UMIDIGI after that. No response to messages. My order shows ' Awaiting Delivery'. It will close in 15 days. Any way to get through to AliExpress or UMIDIGI?

BUG REPORTS & FIXES:

1. Fingerprint reader does not work after applying Android updates. The fingerprint reader application will "reload" while adding a new print after 2-3 fingerprint reads.
To work around this problem: reset your phone to factory defaults, remove SIM card, and do not connect to WiFi when prompted ("skip"). Add all fingerprints during setup, then insert SIM card and connect to WiFi as normal.

2. Camera app does not open. This is somehow caused by the "Quickstep" application launcher. Install "Lawnchair" or another home screen application launcher to replace Quickstep and the camera app will open.

3. No 4G data, only 3G. If only 1 SIM is inserted into the second slot in the SIM tray, only 3G data is connected. To fix this, move the SIM card to the first slot (in the middle) of the tray. This problem does not happen if 2 SIMs are inserted.
4. Headset audio quality decreased, unusable. The first day was fine. Second day, the output from the headphone jack is extremely distorted at all volumes. It sounds like 8-bit 11kHz audio. Persistent after a reboot. Will try factory reset, but fear this may be a hardware issue.

5. Android WebView fails to update. There is an update for WebView in the Play Store, but it gets stuck on "Installing" and never finishes. Only a reboot clears the installation, but then it tries to install again.

6. Soft reset or reboot during Antutu and demanding games. After 15-20 minutes of gameplay, the phone will reboot or soft reset. Most times while running Antutu this happens too.

Received mine today.

Not had a chance to fully test, but issues so far:

Battery icon empty. Does not show charge remaining, but shows when charging.

I use Go Launcher. Impossible to access settings as dock icons missing.

I dont have voice issues, camera app access issues, Fingerprints a bit hiss or miss. Keeps going back to start without registering, altho I managed to get 4 sets installed.

Will spend more time & report back..............

Good day. Received the shipment today, installed all the updates available, reset phone to factory defaults, but no 4G on the phone. I moved SIM card to first slot, but there's still 3g, not 4g. And there's no Google pay. NFC is turned on, but on the Google pay app page in browser there is no my device as compatible. And no google pay app in Play market on the device.
UP! It's a sim card problem. All other SIMs get 4G on this phone. It's very strange, I was sure 4g worked on previous phone. So there's only one problem left - with GPay. Will I get the patch with OTA, or no chance and better user flashtool?

Placed order 14th Oct Umidigi Store AliExpress.
I was prepared to wait as I knew it was pre-order and these thing never go to plan.
They have promised gift for compensation, but not received yet.

14.11 i ordered f2... Today my packet waiting in innsbruck (60km from me), becouse of your gift, uwatch3. I was really happy for this gift.. But i was not so happy, when dhl ask me for commercial invoice about the complete content of the shipment for customs clearance... Why i was not happy? Becouse nothink like that i have not, Normally it is not problem... But official shop on ali express never ever did not answer for any qustion, what i had... So, how can i solve this problem, when i have no document, and only one subject on world, what can help me, never answer for any question? So.. yeah,.... thank you for gift...
