If the phone does not support it, how do you plan to go around that?

Per the Play store, Messages should work with Android version 5 and up and I know my service provider supports RCS as it works on my other phone. Something needs to be updated for it to work with the F1 Play. Umidigi. please include RCS support in the next update.

The Android security update is included in this update is very old. (January 5, 2019.) .. Obsolete!

Could you tell me why the security features haven't been updated since January?  Since you've posted more updates, but the security remains the old..?

+ Can you improve something on the WIFI?
Something wrong. With other phones the signal is strenght, but with ths phone the signal is on half level (with 2g and 5g wifi also)..
The disconnection occurs frequently while on other phones the wifi signal is on full ..Very annoying!

+ The battery indicator on the top don't show the real level.
Eg.: when that is on near to full - there on the top, .. the real battery charge is around 40%...

hello, do any of you already have root permissions on umidigi F1 play? I wanted to ask if the phone behaves well with the root magisk + edexposed?

I asked the Umidigi support about the Android Security Updates in July, and they told me incredible things.

1) They are not aware of any security related issues with the F1 Play
2) As a ROM provider they are not being notified about upcoming releases of Android Security patches.
3) They do not know how to apply such patches, and Google does not instruct them how to do it.

I have a copy of that e-mail, which left me speechless.

just unlock the bootloader and install patched_boot.img created by magisk via flashtool?
did you manage to do it like this?

Yes, exactly. Like the manual describes it. But read it carefully before beginning, in order to not omit an important step.

WTF? In Century 21th a manufacturer can not support their devices?
The security patches and updates in android the most important thing..!.
That is the first priority and without seurity patch, all other updates meaningless..
it seems I'm going to throw my F1play in the trash...
