Guys I really hate to say it, but I seriously don´t think we will ever receive Android 8 on UMI Z simply because, as Ben said, Mediatek didn´t provide Android 8 SDK for X27 chip. If you check other X27 based handsets you will see that most of the use either Marshmallow or Nougat 7.1.1. I really can´t blame UMI here.

BUT the lastest Nougat ROM still has some issues, so a bugfix with latest security patches would be really nice to have. And that´s something UMI could do.

well, just like you said: the latest 7.1.1 release had a lot of bugs (I can make a whole list if you want Ben) but they will probably never be fixed.
It's just so frustrating that we have a phone that costs more than €200 (at the time I bought it) and all we get is a VERY unstable ROM with lots of bugs.
And Ben if I should make a list with all the bugs, you will just tell me that it's my fault, it's a hardware fault and I have to return it, or the developers can't fix it.
And btw: it costs more to return the phone to China, instead of just buying a whole new much better phone (for the same price or less...).

In that comment you claimed that, I used to intentionally share misleading information, what is an offendding attitude on your side. You have only one device for testing but you still think that, all of your issues are present generally.
I recommend to everybody who still has major issues or concrete bugs to arrange all of them in a listt here, so later we can compare those lists and find those few matching and at least not perfectly unique issues.

But it makes no sense to make a list while we aren't gonna get any updates anymore...

It's still possible to fix really existing system bugs if they are not related to the unchangeable hardware.

Yeah, I know they can fix the bugs, but the question is if the developers are going to fix them...
