You have to format your SD card as External storage to be able to handle it separately in an MTP connection.

I usually use a phone management app to connect the phone and pc. And also transfer data between them. If you need one, have a look at this, android file transfer.
Hope it helps.

I have a UMI Super, I do have connection problem but after I following the above suggests my computer could detect the phone. However, it keep on disconnecting and reconnecting.
I checked with the Device Manager it show that this is a Android Phone/Android Composite ADB interface there.
MY phone Rom is UMI Super.V3.02_20161017. I connected the phone with a Windows 10 Pro system.
