Good to hear that your UMI is working well but could you check something with the GPS?
Under Location settings, set the mode to Device Only, this will make sure that things like cell towers are not contributing to the location data.
Go outside, start Google maps and once it has locked onto the satellites, zoom in to your location as watch the blue dot for 5 minutes. If the gps is working OK, the blue dot should stay locked in position. On mine phone the position drifts around the screen and sometimes lurches off a distance of a few 100 meters.
Could you confirm that this does not happen to you and if you have an app like GPS Test that shows the signal strength, could you post a screenshot?
The reason I am asking all this is to try to pin down if this is a software or hardware issuewhich will indicate the likelyhood of it being fixed.
I have attached a screenshot of my signal strength, I believe you need at least 3 satellites showing above 30 to give a good fix.

Hi peejayw,

I did the test for you. My results in screen don't look too different from yours, but in my case the blue dot doesn't jump too much...maybe it goes in circles of 10-20 meters at most...but in general I can use Google Maps and Pokemon Go for example without any issue.

The blue spot jumps about 10-15m but that is okay. Standing at the window of my office!!!

Thank you both. Looks like your signal is a bit stronger but not as good as it should be compared to other devices I have tested where signal levels over 40 are achieved.

I've also tested it and did not detect any major fluctuations.
The GPS status also in the building (window seat) is very well .

\n\nOkay, I have done the same test with my Galaxy Tab S2
Same place inside building at window and just less than 1 minute to get the position...

Looks quite better :-(  And no movement of the blue spot.
Okay, I do have a GPS problem but for usual situations it works for me.
