Sounds like crappy apps. I'm inclined to just tell ya that U may as root since ya guilty and use rooted powered apps to bypass these checks. Luckily I have Bank of America and don't have to worry about that. I've been rooted for half a decade and ain't going back to crappy stock or even worse, OEM Roms lol

You've got a non-stock/OEM ROM in your Umi Super?

Dear users,

Hello Bencebacsi,

Thanks this will do the trick as it looks. Could you perhaps explain what it the consequences are when you replace the factory boot image with this secured (locked) one?

"
The factory boot images of UMi Super ROMs are insecured (unlocked), that make some security sensitive apps (banking apps typically) useless since they refuse to run with a root access alert.
To solve a such issue, you may replace the factory boot image by the following secured (locked) one. Just download this image file, then in the flasher window double click on the path field of the boot partition and brows for this file.

Kind Regards,

Frank.

Dear Frank,

By replacing the unlocked stock boot image by a locked one your phone still will be able to be rooted via TWRP but such security sensitive apps might not treat it to be vulnarable anymore.

Bence

Dear Bencebacsi, can you please explain step by step how to install the secured boot, as it's not a "scatter" file i can't browse it in the flashtool 'i've tried to put it in the 20160616_c239v55_kw_u1 folder, flashed rom again but banking apps still say root is unsecure...

Thanks for your help

Placing it in the folder isn't what's needed. U have to click on the right side where the columns showing the files to be flashed are. Then U literally select the boot-secured image in your computer files. U should also be able to uncheck everything else except the boot image to be flashed.

OK, YaKillaCJ, i got it, i'm not vewry practical with all this Android flashing stuff it's only been a few weeks of android for me after years  of boredom on iOS... I managed it, thanks, u seem to be an advanced user.

As a matter of facts, do you have any idea why i get "smallWindow app stopped working properly" all the time i use Google Play Music app? Also the Launcher* from Umi gives some errors and sometime a pop-up says "launcher3 has stopped working properly. Used Nova Launcher and Laincher problem has disappeard but "SmallWindow" issue keep popping up. A user told me to install the Google Play Music App donwloading the apk, putting it in the folder System/app of the phone, but i cant access it cause it's a hidden folder, user suggests to use ES explorer and activate "Root explorer" nut i get an error sying the phone is not able to do so. Any idea?

Hi

I have been spending most of the day also trying to solve this issue. I have put the secured boot file on as well and my apps such as last pass are still claiming the phone it rooted and not secure.

This makes the phone pretty much useless to me if I can't use my apps on it.

Please can we have a proper fix for this.

Thanks
