Did you have same problem with the 3.01 firmware ? Other persons seem to say it was ok in 3.01. Maybe it s soecific to your phone

I have the same problems since I have the phone. The GPS works bad. But there is no a problem with my unit, I think all UMI Rome and Rome X has this problems. The people that say the GPS is OK is because they don't use the GPS in a car (Tomtom, Here maps, Sygic, Google maps, etc)

Antenna is weak when i ll receive my phones i ll try to replace it by another one to see if better. If ok i will do a tuto to replace antenna or if there is a bad connection but i think replacement is better

I used GPS on Rome X the first time yesterday. It does not work at all !!!!

Ive received my phones rooted them to set faster gps and gps fix. No improvements.
GPS signal strenght in dB is ok compare to a working phone but while i see 23 satellites on another phones i see 10 and 7 usable on this one, so number of satellites available is lower but reception strenght i ok.
Why do i see less satellites ? does this phone only use gps and not glonass satellites ?

there are only round circles on and no triangles on gps test so there is no glonass activated that is the problem.

We need to activate glonass, mtk processors support glonass and gps simultaneously

This phone does not support Glonass, but I have other phones than they don't support glonnass and the GPS works perfectly in other phones. So I think it is a bigger problem.
