seems that v3.02 is out. SPFT version on needrom.
Also 2GB ram and 16GB ROM version of rome X?

UMI just confirmed that, a 2GB/16GB version of Rome X is non-existent.
I do not recommend to install any of those firmware sources.

Still no updates via FOTA. How is that possible?
Should the updates not be ready by now?

Maybe they still have issues with the FOTA server. Unfortunately I can't access the UMI crew in the weekend. Next week I'm going to request an official flash tool update at least for the case if the FOTA method still doesn't work.

I got and have provided the (official) flash tool installer of the v3.02 version firmware.

FOTA will be available next week.

Thanks for providing that ROM. I have installed it and things are looking MUCH better!
- Apps run at startup, which means that widgets also update.
- Background services keep running after an app has been closed.
- Notifications arrive, even immediately after a reboot, without having to open the app.

The only other problem I had noticed was the battery indicator sometimes stops updating. I haven't noticed this happening yet, but it's a bit harder to test.

So I definitely recommend installing this update! Thanks for all your help in getting these issues fixed.

Now I need to work out what to do with the Rome X - my wife has now decided that 5.5" is too big! (insert your own joke about penis size here)

SoCr@Te is also updating the available downloads... (hosted on needrom sources, not mediafire)

SoCr@Te is also updating the available downloads... ...

1. SoCr@Te is not a representative of UMI
2. needrom is not an official partner of UMI
3. What's wrong with MediaFire?

P.s.: A few years ago (between 2013 and 2014) I also uploaded about 60 kinds of firmwares to needrom. Now only 19 of them are available, all the others have been deleted for an unknown reason.

Comments

Nothing wrong with mediafire, just mentioning that there is an alternative if someone needs it. SoCr@Te may be planning a botnet with backdoors in those images but I'll take the risk. ;)  Post time 2016-3-15 06:17

I'm glad to know that, this update fixed most of the major issues and thank you for your report.
Anyway, 5.5" is quite under the average European size. Just for your sake
