You should switch off your phone, clean fingerprint sensor, reboot phone and test.
If still not working and you didn't drop etc phone you can contact to seller and ask for solution.
I can only recommend full flash with SPFT.
Here is SPFT instruction

Dear,
thank you for your reply.
I cleaned it, rebooted many times but it is still not working, therefore I would not make any flash because it seems to be a hardware issue.
I could send it to seller (Gearbest) since it is under warranty, but it would last too long.
If you could help me, could you check if you have spare parts for Umidigi S2, I would like to replace fingerprint sensor in mobile phone service in my country, if I had that part... Could you, please, ship to me just sensor, it should not be expensive..
Or, could you get info if any other fingerprint sensor can be used in this phone, for replacement purpose, other but Umidigi (Samsung, Xiaomi...)
Thank you

So if you thinking about opening phone then Full flash will not make any harm. Definitely you should flash firstly. Unfortunately still seller taki full responsibility of warranty process and I don't believe that seller will send to you new fingerprint sensor without testing device for any outside sources like moisture or impact etc.
Of course if you want you can buy new fingerprint sensor from online stores but currently is not available as spare part.

I don't have such informations, but I am sure that other brands sensors will be not compatible. Connector, size, length of wire, hardware will be different.

Has Umidigi offered any solution for the headphone issues?
This is very disappointing, I and 2 of my Friends have the exact same problem. After having this problem for a month (right when I purchased the unit), the headphone now completely is not recognized by the phone.
People are returning this phone but sending it through gearbest is a disaster as it can take months.
Umidigi needs to reply on this issue ASAP in order to keep its brand. I am going to start twitting about this and will post youtube video showing people how bad the product is.

With this what you writing I can suspect USB/3,5 jack adapter fault. Please ask seller to sent to you new USB/3,5 jack adapter or refund same amount of money to cover new adapter cost.

Hi all, I'm a new user on here and not sure how to do a new post, so my apologies if this is in the wrong place...
Has anyone managed to buy a cable that allows them to charge their Umidigi S2 Pro and listen to headphones at the same time?
I've tried two different ones from Banggood (see attached pic).
Neither will charge the phone, but both will let me listen to the headphones.
Any advice will be appreciated...
