for me I think, the eMAX is a KitKat phone, but a good one. Only 32bit, of course.

This kinda seems like old news. but I stumbled across a forum on the community here with updates for the official mediate kernel: https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/mediatek/

Anyone want to take a look?

This is from the Android One project. Unfortunately the only Mediatek Android One phone does not have a MTK6752, but a different one (I forgot its name).

Found this, in case it helps or inspires anyone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ ... based-roms-t3223938 I tried, but I can't seem to be able to repack roms. I can unpack and then edit them, but whenever I repack them they won't boot. Even if I just unpack and then repack with NO changes... Using x86 Xubuntu VM. I'm using this guide to unpack and repack, but I change the size to the system.img size listed in the scatter file. http://www.kiloroot.com/how-to-u ... et-system-img-file/

No new information about the lollipop upgrade. I'm affraid, this project has been permanently failed. Maybe something will happen about a Marshmallow upgrade, we don't know yet.

I hope that is not true. If the phone can not be updated like the specification say, than I am informed wrong. If I had known that before I bought the phone I probably would have bought a other phone.

This s*cks.

UMI doesn't promise the lollipop upgrade for eMAX since August. Traders just don't take care about modifying their ads.

The possibility of the lollipop upgrade has been missing on the official product page since August. Besides that UMI was still working on it but failed. So, anybody who bought his eMAX before August, could legitimately expect (as a fact) a lollipop upgrade but not those who bought it later. Later buyers got just a hope, nothing more.
