UMI's portfolio is still smaller than the ones of their major competitors like Elephone or Xiaomi. On the other hand, UMI eMAX is still being sold by a lot of resellers, so a lollipop or marshmallow upgrade is still expectable in any circimstances as well.

Love your optimism Bencebacsi but i'm afraid I have very little faith in any sort of update ever seeing the light of day.

There was a video posted 2 weeks ago, with a lollipop umi emax, from umi company on their youtube profile, saying that they didnt give up:

Anyway, the lack of official news or announcements is disturbing... This video was encouraging, at least for me, because it would be weird to do that and then never finish the update, but the truth is that they announced the release of lollipop many weeks ago, so... *fingers crossed*

I'm not optimistic. I expect that upgrade but don't really hope already.

The last news (from yesterday) says that, the eMAX engineer is still working on the lollipop upgrade but without success. I suggest you not to wait for the lollipop upgrade.

Why wouldn't you expect that lollipop update, what changed??

They still have exactly the same bugs that they had 3 months ago and nothing has changed.  The engineer obviously doesn't have the knowledge to get any further.

Nothing has changed, I said the same a month ago as well.
