Well, my Z Pro in the meantime is running basically without problems on this Android version by now. Summarising the thread a bit in general:- on the latest Android 6 version most of the phones were running quite well apart from some minor bugs and battery drainage issues, in my case all well, camera(s) made great pictures, 'only' battery drainage (I think the home button / finger print sensor has been too sensitive and display would activate almost constantly when I had the phone in my pocket), but it ususally always took me through the day, so acceptable
- some users reported unsolvable problems and mainly poor picture quality nonetheless
-> on one post with uploaded example pics Ben commented that camera lenses weren't o.k. (no software issue) and phone would have to be sent back for replacement, my guess: it probably wasn't the only phone with faulty lenses
- especially in earlier posts users reported blown up batteries (some pics really looked frightening, that really shouldn't happen anymore after the Samsung Note 7 desaster!)
- on Android 7 I would say some phones running quite well on version _20170605, some on _20170710, some won't get it to work well on either of the 2, in my case it was the spontaneous reboot bug on _20170605 which for me was solved by manual OTA to _20170710
-> now all I need is running well and smooth, responsiveness is fast, camera is o.k. for me (still better on Android 6), no connectivity problems with WiFi, Bluetooth, data connection (and I have tested intensively by now, 6158Km by car this summer holiday, phone connected to car stereo by BT, using Maps navigation + listening to TuneIn on mobile data connection a lot, including roaming and dual SIM use), battery consumption is o.k. for me (better than on Android 6, display won't activate when it shouldn't anymore), phone is charging pretty fast with originally supplied charger + cable
So... what I make out of all this: apart from some Android problems, hardware quality stability might also have been an issue (e.g. camera lenses, batteries), maybe more so with earlier production batches.
My humble opinion: depending on your 'risk affinity' and budget I would still say it's worth a shot if you could get it for around EUR230 at a shop where you could send it back without problems in case you wouldn't get it to work. You might be lucky and get a great phone at that price (you might have to be willing to fiddle around a bit and try out different things). But I also must say I haven't really checked out comparable alternative brands which offer similar pricing for these hardware specs...
