Hi,

since Android 7 I have this major issue for me. When I connect my UMI SUPER to the PC with Windows I can't switch between charging option and usb mode for file transfer between PC and phone. I'm able to switch this option only by setting usb file transfer than unplug phone and plug it in again. This way I see UMI SUPER in Windows. When I try to copy any file with Windows Explorer phone disconets and than I can't transfer any file. Copying files between device and PC is not possible any more since Android 7. Please try to copy some file over USB cable and fix this issue.

Thank you

So as I can read, Umi won't update this phone anymore. Right?

The availability of any Android version upgrades depends on the SDK versions provided by MediaTek. Even the new Z1, Z1 Pro and C Note 2 has been released with Android 7.0 since only that version is available by MTK. So, you can't expect an android 7.1 upgrade for UMi Super but further updates of the current system might be released, and we don't yet know about the future of the UMI OS and Android 8.0.

I have friends that like my UMI Super, but they will not buy UMI because of the poor level of support. Get your sh*t together!  Post time 2017-11-9 06:51

When will we see a patch the KRACK exploit for UMI Super? I'm pretty happy with this phone, but I don't want to have to buy a new phone every 18 months to keep up with security updates.  Post time 2017-11-9 06:49

Battery is still better on A6.

You should wait if you don´t care about last updates.

Will probably wait to buy a Nokia N6. Thanks!

Bencebacsi thanks for giving us the Super Users some hope that's why I love UMI, I just think the Android 7 needs some fixes..!!
1° the Battery stills overheating a little and the calibration it's not good, first turns off at 15% and now after trying to calibrate turns off at 50/40%!!
2° the camera software cenary option and quality, stills like a fog..
3° the fast charger make it a little slow so don't overheats and inflate the Battery!!
Thanks UMI Keep the good work!! ;)

Buy a spare battery and get ready to change inflated one before it damages your display.

Yeah I'm thinking of that..!!
But I opened to see how it was and the Battery seems good at first sight, no air on the outside cover..but I know something it's punching the screen out..
Could the Battery be inflated but only inside without noticing?? And this makes the Battery lasts fewer too?!
